Privacy Policy

FRAME Advisory (“FRAME”, “we”) is a fractional real estate development leadership and advisory practice based in Canada. This policy covers what personal information we collect through frameadvisory.ca, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Short version: we collect what you choose to send us, plus basic technical data about visits if you allow it. We don’t sell personal information.

The laws we follow

FRAME follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Where a provincial law applies to you, we follow that too: Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), and the Personal Information Protection Acts of Alberta and British Columbia.

What we collect

What you send us. Your name, email, phone number, company, role, and whatever you write in a message, form or call.
Technical data, only if you accept analytics. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site that referred you.

We don’t ask for financial account numbers, government ID numbers or similar identifiers through this site. Please don’t send them.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your inquiry and scope work with you.
• To deliver and administer an engagement.
• To send you what you asked for, such as an article or a proposal.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To meet legal, tax and professional obligations.

We won’t use your information for a different purpose without asking you first.

Consent

When you click Accept, you consent to the analytics described in this policy. When you click Decline, the site works the same way and we store only the one essential item that remembers your choice.

If you send us an inquiry by form or email, you agree we can use what you send to respond. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us or by changing your choice from the “Privacy choices” link in the site footer. Withdrawing may limit what we can do. We can’t reply to someone whose email address we’ve deleted.

Cookies and similar technology

Essential. One item in your browser’s local storage records whether you accepted or declined. It holds no personal information.
Analytics. Loaded only after you accept.
Embedded content. Video or other content hosted by a third party may set its own cookies when you play it. That provider’s policy governs those cookies.
You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal information. We use service providers to run the practice: website hosting, email, scheduling, file storage and analytics. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.

Some of these providers operate outside Canada, including in the United States. Your information may be stored or processed there, and courts and authorities in those countries may be able to access it under their laws.

We disclose personal information when the law requires it. If FRAME is ever sold or restructured, your information may transfer with the business, under the same commitments.

Email and CASL

We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent. That means either express consent, where you ask us to contact you or join a list, or implied consent as CASL defines it. Implied consent is limited. For example, it can apply for six months after you make an inquiry, or for up to two years after an engagement ends.

Every commercial message says who it’s from, includes our contact information, and has a working unsubscribe link. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and usually sooner. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn’t stop messages about work already underway.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it. Inquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted after two years. Engagement records are kept for as long as contract, tax and professional obligations require, then deleted or anonymized.

How we protect it

Access is limited to the people who need it, and we use reputable providers that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t claim otherwise.

If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires. We keep a record of every breach, including the ones we don’t have to report.

Your rights

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and how we’ve used and shared it.
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or out of date.
• Withdraw your consent.
• Ask us to delete your information, where the law allows.
• Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to receive your information in a portable format. We respond within 30 days. If we can’t give you what you asked for, we’ll tell you why.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If the change affects how we use your information, we’ll ask for your choice again.
